Job summary

Opportunity Village seeks a Job Discovery Training Instructor to provide specialized job training and career exploration for CCSD students with IDD. You will partner with teachers, job developers, CCSD staff, and families to build employability skills and an inclusive path to independence.

The role requires travel to Las Vegas area sites, helping with resume prep, job searches, applications and interview coaching, while documenting progress and aligning with program goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of verifiable work experience in special education or a related field.
• CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license (and ability to meet insurance requirements) required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate methods for working with individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
• Assist with job-specific challenges that may arise.
• Identify and support students' short-term and long-term career goals.
• Communicate, coordinate, and coach students alongside the training and assessment team, job developers, and parents/guardians.
• Help students with resume prep, job searches, applications, and interview training.
