Job summary

Tallahassee State College seeks a Career Development Specialist for Gulf CI in a full-time, grant-funded role. The position supports inmate release planning, job readiness, and program delivery.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, delivering the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program, documenting services, and coordinating with community providers for pre-release employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma with 2 years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149.
• Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officers.
• Assisting the Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.
