Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Career Counselor in Nevada to guide job seekers, especially those eligible for WIOA, through assessment, counseling, and tailored employment preparation. You will manage cases, coordinate trainings, and help clients access supportive services to achieve self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities include outreach to employers, maintaining community resource connections, and delivering labor market information to participants, with regular reporting on NDW program

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred or higher
• HS Diploma with at least one year of Sales/Customer Service experience
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Strong speaking and organizational/time management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide career guidance and counseling to job seekers, focusing on those who are WIOA eligible
• Provide detailed case management to assist in employment preparation
• Assist customers with training attendance, job searches, and maintaining eligibility
• Authorize and coordinate supportive services such as childcare and transportation
• Maintain contacts with community resources and develop new ones
• Provide labor market information to customers
• Ensure contract deliverables and individual goals are met
• Outreach employers and organizations to place eligible participants in subsidized employment
• Follow-up participant progress and submit payroll information
• Provide weekly and monthly NDW program progress reports
