The Career Development Specialist plays a key role in driving employee growth, talent mobility, and workforce capability across the organization. This position partners with employees, leaders, and HR stakeholders to design and deliver career development strategies that align individual career goals with business objectives.
The successful candidate will provide career coaching, facilitate professional development programs, and create scalable resources that help employees navigate career opportunities, build critical skills, and achieve long-term career success. This role will lead impactful workshops focused on career planning, personal branding, resume development, interviewing skills, and professional growth.
As a strategic talent development partner, the Career Development Specialist will collaborate with business leaders, HR teams, and external educational partners to strengthen internal talent pipelines, support succession planning efforts, and enhance employee retention through meaningful development opportunities. The role also leverages workforce data and talent insights to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvements that advance organizational talent goals.

Key Responsibilities
What’s Required
Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field required.
Minimum 3 years in career counseling, workforce development, or related HR/L&D roles.
Certification in career coaching or counseling preferred
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
