Job summary

Skills of Central PA is hiring a full-time Team Leader of Employment Services and Career Development in State College, PA. The role focuses on negotiating and securing employment placements for people we support, working with local businesses and schools to promote community-based integrated employment, and ensuring accurate billing for Pre-ET services.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in rehabilitation, business, marketing or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience supporting people with disabilities.
• ACRE certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises team of employment training professionals and employment training specialists.
• Supports the Employment Training Professionals and Specialists as needed.
• Back-up to program manager for Time and Labor system, HER, CWDS and EIM as needed.
• Ensures billing information is accurate and complete for Pre-ET's services.
• Monitors work schedules including PTO in conjunction with manager.
• Establishes relationships with business, industry and schools to promote community-based employment.
• Develops and secures placement for people we support in Employment Services.
• Negotiates and secures employer agreements.
• Completes job screenings and Pre-Employment Transition Services; obtains career assessment sites.
• Assists in developing profiles and person-centered plans on referrals.
• Maintains employer relationships pre/during/post placement.
• Analyzes labor outsourcing needs of local businesses.
• Keeps records of contacts, visits, and placement activities.
• Communicates new opportunities and leads promptly.
• Participates in business/industry organizations as approved by Manager.
• Coordinates assignments for training staff for community-based job tryouts and pre-employment activities.
