Job summary

The role coordinates employment curricula, provides ongoing support, liaison with employers and program staff, and helps participants develop transportation and childcare links to sustain employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate within DuPagePads Core Values and Trauma Informed Policy.
• Assist screening, application, and assessment for prospective workforce participants.
• Conduct regular visits in client homes across the county to support employment and educational goals.
• Establish career goals with participants and their case managers.
• Provide and facilitate employment workshops and training for job readiness and retention; offer in-person or virtual formats.
• Link participants to community education and training programs.
• Network with area businesses and associations to identify suitable job opportunities.
• Develop partnerships with businesses, government and employment agencies to secure opportunities near residences.
• Assist participants to develop feasible transportation plans to employment and childcare linkages.
• Cultivate strong employer relationships to match participant talents and employer needs.
• Motivate and provide ongoing support to help participants maintain employment and grow income.
• Advocate for community education and solutions benefiting the target population.
• Prepare and maintain accurate files and reports.
• Attend weekly supervision, monthly progress and team meetings.
• Participate in weekly Rapid Rehousing staffings to coordinate employment needs.
• Occasionally drive to meet participants at potential employment opportunities.
