Job summary

NH Job Corps in Manchester, NH is seeking a Counselor to guide students through personal, educational, and career planning within a structured Job Corps program. You will coordinate courses, delivery, and activities to help students secure full-time employment, college, or advanced training.

The role emphasizes mentoring, development of Personal Career Development Plans, and ensuring student success through data-driven oversight and collaboration with center and off-center services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school with at least 15 semester hours in Social Services.
• Minimum of one year of counseling experience; preference for Job Corps or youth development programs.
• Valid in-state Driver’s License and ability to meet insurability standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with commitment to data integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, educational, and career counseling to students.
• Develop and update Personal Career Development Plans for each student.
• Identify and remediate barriers to student success.
• Coordinate on-center and off-center services to maximize retention.
• Foster a safe, respectful campus community and professional environment.
• Track student milestones using data systems; stand in as Counseling Manager when needed.
