Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is hiring a Counselor to manage a caseload of Job Corps participants, delivering career, academic, and personal development counseling. The role involves collaboration with all departments, ongoing assessment, and assisting students with education continuation and training opportunities.

The counselor will document sessions, conduct reviews, and support transitions to chosen pathways, while maintaining CIS records and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree including 15 semester hours in social services-related instruction.
• One year experience in counseling or related field required.
• Experience with diverse youth populations; valid driver's license in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a caseload of program participants with career/academic counseling.
• Collaborates with departments to meet student needs and supports transition planning.
• Documents monthly counseling sessions and prepares written reports as needed.
• Conducts reviews and maintains records in CIS and other systems.
• Provides goal setting and connects students with community services.
