Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks candidates for a role within DHEWD focused on delivering workforce services. The position involves promoting Job Center services, conducting regional outreach, coordinating with partners, and guiding job seekers through programs such as Trade Act and RESEA.

You will screen applicants, refer to employers, facilitate workshops, and assist with resume writing and interview techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach to job seekers and employers is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate with partners to provide services.

Responsibilities

• Promote Job Center services and benefits to customers and prospective customers.
• Conduct regional outreach to locate job seekers and employers.
• Coordinate with partners to provide comprehensive services.
• Provide programs like Trade Act, UI, RESEA and other re-employment programs as needed.
• Accept and record job orders from employers.
• Pre-screen applicants and refer to employers.
• May facilitate workshops and other training activities for job seekers.
• Assist job seekers in automated job searches.
• Classify job orders and applicant qualifications using skill codes.
• Contact employers to identify labor needs and develop service plans.
• Inform employers and community organizations about Job Center services; attend job fairs.
• Develop job opportunities with employers for qualified job seekers.
• Provide basic vocational guidance, resume writing, and interview techniques.
• Assist applicants in evaluating vocational needs and creating a plan.
• Complete apprenticeship program.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.
