Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe seeks a Workforce Instructor to serve TANF participants and the broader community, delivering classroom instruction, job coaching, and career development. The role includes job search training and sector-based curricula tailored to tribal and local workforce needs.

The instructor will plan lessons, coordinate workshops, prepare progress reports, and interact with Social Services and community partners. You may work non-traditional hours to support program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Education and two years of teaching or work readiness experience.
• Master Degree in Education and two years of teaching or work readiness experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate lesson plans and develop materials, including cultural competency materials.
• Coordinate curricular workshops to build employment skills.
• Assist TANF participants with career planning, job search, and readiness.
• Promote self-reliance and support tribal workforce development.
• Prepare progress reports and track student achievement; provide intervention.
• Ensure participants complete classes and advance employment or education.
• Maintain organized curricular materials, handouts, and classroom supplies.
• Collaborate with Social Services and related community organizations.
• Attend trainings to maintain teaching certification.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
