Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department seeks a part-time coordinator in Union County to provide job development, placement assistance and supported employment services for Project Search.

The role supports transition consumers, up to 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $22.85 and requires a bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma with related experience; travel across the day is expected.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Or a high school diploma and experience in career counseling or related case management may substitute for the required bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to travel throughout the day to assist consumers while at work.
• Must be able to work in various work environments and on a flex schedule to meet consumers needs.
• Knowledge and skill in conducting needs assessments.
• Knowledge of fact gathering methods and interviewing techniques.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Knowledge of principles of behavior adjustment techniques.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families, etc.
