Job summary

Central City Concern is seeking an Employment Specialist I to support individuals pursuing meaningful employment while addressing barriers to stability. You will partner with clients to identify career goals, develop plans, and secure employment within a recovery‑oriented framework.

You will build relationships with employers, maintain records, and coordinate with CCC programs to provide integrated support for housing, health, and job outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in workforce development, social services, job placement, job coaching, employment and training, or related field.
• Must embrace the mission and philosophy of recovery and client centered treatment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment coaching, career exploration, and job retention support.
• Develop employment plans, resumes, cover letters, and interview skills.
• Connect clients to community resources addressing housing, transportation, behavioral health, and basic needs.
