Job summary

Lumibility in New Haven, CT is seeking a dedicated Employment Specialist to assist individuals served in securing meaningful employment and to coordinate supports. You will supervise, train, and provide person-centered activities to promote positive outcomes and community participation.

Responsibilities include career exploration, job placement, resume support, and ongoing coaching at and offsite locations. Must have a valid CT driver's license and be able to travel between New Haven and Meriden.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience providing employment and/or transition supports.
• Must be able to provide support utilizing community-based resources.
• Must be over 18 and possess a valid Connecticut driver’s license, have acceptable driving history, and be able to use own vehicle for Lumibility business.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety and well-being of people served per individual service plan and agency policies.
• Meet employment needs of caseload including career exploration, job placement, counseling, coaching, and advocacy.
• Assist individuals with career development: resume writing, interview prep, and best practices.
• Train and support individuals at employment sites and provide follow-along supports to maintain employment.
• Maintain medical, social and programmatic files and documentation as required.
