Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a full-time Employment Navigator/Job Coach to join our Mission Services team. The role supports individuals in overcoming barriers and securing sustainable employment through coaching and job search strategies.

The ideal candidate will have workforce development knowledge, strong community connections, and the ability to assess client needs, create personalized employment plans, and document progress in our program.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, business, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma with three years of vocational rehabilitation experience may substitute for a degree.
• Ability to complete Ohio provider training.
• CESP certification may be required.
• Flexible schedule including nights or weekends.
• Travel within communities served; may require transporting individuals.
• Valid driver's license with up to five points and automotive insurance; proof required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to job seekers, helping navigate the job market and set career goals.
• Assist clients in creating and refining resumes, cover letters, and job applications; teach job search strategies.
• Conduct initial assessments to determine skills, qualifications, and barriers; develop personalized employment plans.
• Establish and maintain community relationships with employers and public agencies to facilitate opportunities.
• Record participant progress and complete documentation and reporting within established timelines.
