Job summary

Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is hiring a Career Coach to provide job search and readiness support, coaching clients to reduce barriers to employment, and coordinating referrals for training. The role emphasizes working with low-income and underserved populations and building partnerships with local resources.

The position involves case management, goal setting, resume and interview assistance, and delivering career development workshops, with a focus on helping clients attain a living wage

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in career coaching, workforce development, employment services, case management, or a related field.
• Experience working with low-income, unemployed, underemployed, or otherwise underserved populations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low-income households.
• Skills in resume development, job searching, interview preparation, networking, and career planning.
• Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk individuals.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and confidentiality of information.
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
• Public speaking and outreach.
• Ability to travel to work sites.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must pass CORI and Federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to clients on a regular basis.
• Identify services needed for members’ personal, educational/or skill development to enhance employability.
• Create individual employment goals.
• Reduce employment barriers by providing resources, support and referrals.
• Provide wrap around services to clients throughout job placement.
• Perform intake and data collection as per funding source requirements.
• Maintain accurate participant records and prepare reports as required.
• Assist in developing partnerships with local agencies and other community resources.
• Plan and implement career development workshops and events.
• Collaborate with Senior Financial Education staff to support financial stability of clients.
• Uphold CTI values of Equity, Integrity, Compassion.

The Career Coach will be responsible for providing job search, job readiness skills and referrals for job training with a goal of helping individuals attain a living wage. The Career Coach will coach clients in ways to reduce barriers to maintaining employment, including working closely with the Senior Financial Education Staff.Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Provide case management to clients on a regular basis;

• Provide internal and external wrap around services to clients throughout job placement.

• Assist in the development of partnerships with local agencies and other community resources
• Work with team members on planning and implementation of career development workshops and events throughout the year
• Work closely with Senior Financial Education staff to ensure clients attain financial stability and achieve financial goals.
