Job summary

Washington State University’s Academic Success & Career Center seeks an Employer Relations Manager to build relationships with corporate and community employers and promote the value of hiring WSU students and graduates.

You will expand postings and recruiting activity, plan and evaluate major career events, and recruit/train staff. The role requires on-campus presence in Pullman with potential hybrid scheduling, supporting outreach and partnership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of professional experience.
• Experience building relationships with employers, alumni and community partners.
• Experience planning, coordinating and evaluating events involving multiple stakeholders.
• Experience recruiting, training, supervising, leading, and mentoring staff or student teams.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers; invite them to engage WSU students.
• Increase job postings, recruitment and hiring activity for students and graduates.
• Generate greater monetary and non-monetary support for the career center.
• Plan, implement and evaluate Career Expo/Fairs and related events.
• Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate professional staff and student employees.
• Serve on departmental and university committees to support the mission and strategic plan.
