Job summary

The University of Alabama is hiring a Career Advisor for CrossingPoints, a nationally recognized program providing transition and postsecondary education to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will deliver career development and employment services, building individualized on- and off-campus practicum, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities that match each student\'s abilities and interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required; some experience preferred.
• Experience in career development or transition education for students with disabilities preferred.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver\\'s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report; age 19 or older at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide career advising, assessment, resume approval, and individual job search assistance to program students.
• Deliver workshops and classes on career topics.
• Develop strategies to access individualized employment practicums, internships, and apprenticeships for students, including on- and off-campus opportunities.
