Job summary

HealthSource Saginaw is seeking a dedicated Staffing Coordinator to join our Central Staffing team in Saginaw, MI. You will apply critical thinking, organization, and communication to maintain appropriate staffing across healthcare programs, coordinating schedules and payroll records.

You will work to support staff, patients and families, ensuring staffing levels meet needs and that payroll data is accurate. A high school diploma is required, with healthcare scheduling experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years scheduling experience in healthcare preferred.
• Associate’s degree in health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make key decisions determining daily staffing needs based on all information and resources available.
• Assign employees to respective areas based on cross-training abilities and departmental needs.
• Proactively select and communicate with appropriate employees to cover absences/vacancies/vacations.
• Manage short notice staffing changes.
• Review and process time off requests.
• Assemble, adjust, and verify accurate staffing schedule.
• Record and track time & attendance occurrences.
• Coordinate with Human Resources for attendance, schedule changes, escalations and more.
• Coordinate with Payroll to accurately reconcile payroll and incentive pay.
• Initiate staffing changes and communicate updates as needed.
• Establish and maintain all staffing, timesheet, and payroll records.
• Provide training to employees on scheduling and payroll functions.
