Job summary

SOL Mental Health is seeking a full-time, in-person Care Team member at our DC location. You will greet patients, manage scheduling, complete intake, and support clinical teams while ensuring HIPAA and billing accuracy.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability, and strong communication across patients and partners. We value ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing development as the organization builds its practice management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Able to de-escalate difficult situations.
• Ability to interact and work professionally with a diverse population.
• Highly organized and able to juggle many tasks at once.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn clinic operations technology systems.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems, specifically Athena, preferred.
• Strong work ethic, integrity and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage scheduling across calls, emails, and logistics.
• Complete patient intake and check‑in, collect/verify forms, copays, balances.
• Manage schedules for patients and clinicians, including follow‑ups and end‑of‑day processes.
• Support clinical teams by triaging patient concerns and coordinating services.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, referral partners, and vendors.
• Ensure accurate charge capture and billing documentation.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, and related standards.
• Represent SOL Mental Health with professionalism and foster team culture.
• Meet productivity goals and perform additional duties as assigned.

Care Team Members at SOL…

• Provide a warm, professional experience for all patients by greeting visitors, answering phones, and managing daily scheduling needs across calls, emails, and logistics.
• Complete patient intake and check‑in processes, ensuring all forms, insurance verifications, copays, and balances are collected and documented accurately.
• Manage schedules for patients and clinicians, including adjustments, follow‑ups, discharge workflows, reactivation, and end‑of‑day processes, while maintaining accurate information in the EHR.
• Support clinical teams by triaging patient concerns, escalating issues appropriately, and coordinating necessary services.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with patients, families, referral partners, and vendors to support the full patient journey and enhance engagement.
• Ensure accurate charge capture, billing‑related documentation, and timely submission of required data.
• Maintain compliance with all policies and regulatory standards (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, etc.) and uphold a high standard of customer service.
• Represent Sol Mental Health with professionalism and contribute positively to team culture by demonstrating empathy, collaboration, and reliability.
• Meet productivity goals and perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able effectively communicate over the phone, computer, and face to face.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• This is a Full Time, in-person role based out of our DC location.

Compensation | The estimated hourly compensation for this role is$24.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for a monthly bonus based uponmetrics set for the role.
