Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a Care Services Manager in the United States to develop and manage care services programs for people living with ALS and their families. You will oversee program delivery, educate patients and caregivers, coordinate with healthcare providers, and lead field staff in an assigned territory to ensure high-quality, consistent services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience in social work, case management, health administration, allied and public health, nursing, or a related area is required.
• Minimum of four years of related professional experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize management skills such as problem-solving, budget/program planning, and performance improvement.
• Knowledge of ALS is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with progressive neurodegenerative disease; knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and patient assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage care services programs to provide high-quality, consistent services.
• Supervise care services staff within an assigned territory as needed.
• Educate and assist persons diagnosed with ALS and caregivers about programs and resources.
• Coordinate referrals to healthcare providers and community agencies.
• Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of support groups and services.
• Maintain documentation of engagements per Care Services Standards.
