Executive Director at ALS United of Georgia

Company Description

ALS United of Georgia is dedicated to enhancing the lives of Georgians living with ALS and their families through personalized care services, fostering a supportive community, and advancing research for treatments and a cure. We understand the complex care needs and emotions associated with an ALS diagnosis, providing hope and support to help navigate a life with an ALS diagnosis. Our team develops specialized care services, offers direct support and resources, and engages families and friends in supportive initiatives. We are deeply rooted in the Georgia community, fighting with and for those affected by ALS.

Role Description

This is a part-time (approximately 25 hours/week), remote role based preferably in Augusta, GA, or the surrounding region. The Executive Director will be responsible for:

1. Leadership and Strategy: Developing and implementing organizational strategies, overseeing programs, and ensuring alignment with the mission.
2. Fundraising and Community Engagement: Leading fundraising efforts, cultivating partnerships, and increasing community awareness.
3. Operational Management: Managing daily operations, overseeing staff, and ensuring effective service delivery.
4. Financial Oversight: Budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring sustainable operations.
5. Advocacy and Research: Promoting awareness, advocating for policy changes, and supporting research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in non-profit leadership, healthcare administration, or related fields.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop strategic partnerships and foster community engagement.
• Knowledge of ALS or neuromuscular diseases is a plus.
• Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
