Job summary

Senior Helpers in Orange, CA is seeking compassionate caregivers to support older adults to maintain independence at home. You will provide ADL and iADL assistance, including personal care, meal prep, reminders, errands, and transportation.

Flexible Day, Morning, Overnight, and Extended shifts are available. Benefits include paid training, 401K, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, and ongoing career growth in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience required.
• CNA or HCA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers, up to 50 lbs push/pull, 30 lbs lift.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support to maintain comfort, safety, and independence at home.
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, mobility, feeding.
• Assist with iADLs such as meal prep, medication reminders, errands, laundry, transportation.

Job Responsibilities

As a caregiver, you will provide personalized support to our older adult loved ones who need assistance maintaining comfort, safety, and independence at home.

ADL Assistance

• Bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Dressing and toileting assistance
• Mobility and transfer support
• Feeding assistance when needed
• Incontinence care
• Companionship and emotional support

iADL Assistance

• Meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Grocery shopping and errands
• Laundry and linen changes
• Transportation to appointments or activities
• Organizing daily routines and ensuring client safety

Qualifications

Previous caregiving experience required

Experience With Both ADLs And IADLs Preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans
• Valid driver’s license, Insurance and reliable transportation preferred
• CNA or HCA certification is a plus, but not required

• 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
• 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
• 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Morning Shifts

• 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
• 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
• 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Overnight Shifts

• 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
• 8:00 pm - 8:00 am

Extended Shifts

• 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
• 8:00 am - 8:00 pm

Afternoon / Evening Shifts

• 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
• 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
• 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
• 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Pay & Benefits

• $18-$22 per hour (based on experience and client need)

Caregiver Requirements

• Physically able to assist with mobility and transfers, if necessary

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
