Job summary

Senior Helpers in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a dependable Home Care Worker to provide one-on-one care for older adults in their homes. You will assist with ADLs, IADLs, and companionship, helping clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

This role offers flexible hours (full-time or part-time), paid training, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADLs/IADLs is a plus.
• Caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to follow care plans and document effectively.
• CNA or HCA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Provide incontinence care and transfer assistance.
• Support IADLs including meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Provide medication reminders and transportation to appointments.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Follow care plans and help maintain client safety and independence.

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate caregiver to provide one on one care for older adults in the comfort of their homes. If you have experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), and companionship, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
• Experience with ADLs and IADLs is a plus
• Compassionate, patient, reliable, and dependable
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and follow care plans

Pay & Benefits

• $18-$22 per hour (paid biweekly via direct deposit)

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Able to assist with mobility and transfers
• Push/pull up to 50 lbs and lift up to 30 lbs
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Flexible availability, including some weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
