Job summary

Home Instead is hiring part-time caregivers to support seniors in Carroll County, MD. CNAs, CMTs, and general Caregivers are welcome to apply. You will help clients stay comfortable at home, with a focus on personal care, memory care, and daily living assistance.

Qualifying applicants have at least 1 year of caregiving experience, a Maryland driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift 25 pounds. English literacy is required; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of caregiving experience.
• Maryland Driver’s License (not provisional or learners permit).
• Reliable personal transportation with valid auto insurance in your name.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to pass reference, background, motor vehicle checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English. Additional languages are a plus.
• Willing to work with clients with cats or dogs or clients that smoke.

Responsibilities

• Personal care assistance including hygiene, bathing, and toileting.
• Memory care.
• Assistance with daily living tasks such as meal prep and light cleaning.
• Friendly and compassionate communications with clients.
• Medication and appointment reminders.
• Transport clients to medical appointments and errands.
• Provide companionship and conversation.
