Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking Care Partners to provide compassionate, direct care to residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, promote safety and comfort, and support independence and dignity within a team setting.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, state-certified caregiver training or willingness to obtain, and current First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain. Weekend rotation may be required.

Responsibilities

  • As­sist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring) following safety protocols.
  • Provide compassionate care, engagement, and companionship to promote independence and dignity.
  • Encourage participation in life enrichment activity programs.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks and maintaining tidy spaces.
  • Maintain open communication with healthcare professionals, families, residents and staff.

Position Summary

Our Care Partners play a critical role in their community. You will provide compassionate and personalized direct care to our residents, assisting them with activities of daily living and ensuring their comfort, safety, and well‑being. This care promotes independence, privacy, and respect for the residents’ dignity. Care Partners work in a team setting to ensure a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, while adhering to community protocols, licensing regulations, and guidelines for safety.
  • Prioritize independence and emotional support by providing compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
  • Encourage and assist with participation in life enrichment activity programs.
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
  • Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
Candidate Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current caregiver training/certification per state requirements, such as CNA, GNA, PCA, DCA, or willingness/ability to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
Experience, Competencies, and Skills
  • At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
  • Experience with memory care is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
  • Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
  • Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Salary: $20–$22 DOE
