Job summary

Meridian Senior Living in Shelbyville, IL is seeking a Part-Time/Full-Time Care Partner to assist residents on day or evening shifts. The role focuses on direct care activities and compassionate support in a warm, community setting.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance and documentation, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and respectful, person-centered care for our residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of required state training.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and individually.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public.
• Honest, fair, dependable, and respectful of confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning and mobility.
• Maintain proper care records and report changes in residents’ condition.
• Interact effectively with residents, families, staff and vendors.

Details about the Caregiver/Resident Assistant position we are hiring for:

As a Caregiver/Resident Assistant you will provide direct care assisting residents in their daily activities. Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, mobility and incontinence care. Additional tasks include keeping proper care records, reporting any changes in resident’s conditions, interacting effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
