Job summary

Hawks Ridge - Hood River, OR is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate elder care on a swing shift. You’ll assist with daily living activities, monitor health, offer companionship, help with meals, and participate in social activities. You’ll communicate with residents and families and help keep living spaces clean. Prior licensing or background checks may apply where required.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Offer emotional support: engage in conversation, active listening, and companionship to help with loneliness or anxiety.
• Assist with meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• Engage in social and recreational activities: support elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• Connect: communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Keep things clean: light housekeeping and general cleanliness.

What You’ll do

As a Care Partner, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:
