Job description

About the Role

As a Care Operations Associate at Color, you will play an essential role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our care delivery teams, helping ensure our clinicians and patient-facing staff have the tools, resources, and support they need to deliver high-quality care.

You’ll work closely with our Care Operations team across a wide range of functions, including clinician scheduling, licensure and credentialing, quality assurance, onboarding, reporting, and operational coordination. You’ll help keep critical processes running smoothly, troubleshoot challenges, and support the implementation of new workflows and initiatives.

This is a dynamic, hands on role where no two days will look exactly alike. As Color continues to grow and evolve, so will your responsibilities. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and excited to learn. You’ll thrive if you enjoy solving problems, taking ownership, navigating ambiguity, and finding ways to make healthcare operations more efficient and effective.

What You’ll Own:
  • Support daily care operations: Execute and coordinate day-to-day operational activities across our clinical and patient-facing teams, ensuring processes run smoothly, issues are resolved, and critical tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate scheduling and capacity: Maintain clinician schedules, coordinate availability and coverage changes, monitor scheduling gaps, and support workforce planning and capacity management.

  • Manage licensure and credentialing activities: Track professional licenses, certifications, and credentialing requirements; maintain accurate records; coordinate renewals; and support ongoing compliance monitoring.

  • Support team onboarding and offboarding: Coordinate operational onboarding activities, including system access, training schedules, credentialing, and documentation, to ensure a seamless experience for new and departing team members.

  • Assist with quality assurance and compliance: Conduct routine audits, maintain quality and compliance trackers, identify discrepancies, and elevate issues to ensure operational and clinical standards are consistently met.

  • Maintain operational data and reporting: Update trackers and dashboards, compile recurring reports, monitor key operational metrics, and help ensure data is accurate, organized, and actionable.

  • Support process improvements and new initiatives: Maintain SOPs and process documentation, assist with workflow changes and new program launches, and proactively identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, or automate manual processes.

  • Adapt to evolving operational priorities: Take on new responsibilities and projects as business needs change, working collaboratively across teams to solve problems and continually improve how we operate.

What We’re Looking For:
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare operations, clinical administration, or a related healthcare setting.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage operational processes where precision, timeliness, and compliance are essential.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and consistently follow through.

  • A proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to independently troubleshoot problems, take ownership, and know when to elevate.

  • Strong adaptability and comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving responsibilities in a fast‑paced startup environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across clinical, operational, and cross‑functional teams.

  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn new systems, manage spreadsheets and operational tools, and embrace new technologies.

  • A genuine interest in healthcare operations, continuous improvement, and supporting teams that deliver high-quality patient care.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with healthcare licensure, credentialing, compliance, or quality assurance processes.

  • Experience supporting clinician scheduling, workforce coordination, or healthcare staff onboarding.

  • Familiarity with healthcare operations platforms, electronic health records, or credentialing systems.

  • Experience in a digital health, telehealth, or startup environment.

  • Exposure to process improvement, workflow automation, or AI-powered tools.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits

  • 401k match

  • Monthly phone and wifi stipend and an annual ergonomic stipend

  • Generous vacation policy, paid holidays and company-wide recharge days

  • Equal paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents

  • Free cancer screening and prevention resources for employees and their adult dependents

Base compensation range: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, skills, geographic location, and business need. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity and benefits.
