Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, follow ISP, promote safety and independence, and engage residents through conversation and activities. This role is based in New York and involves direct hands-on care in a senior living environment.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, and demonstrate reliability, empathy, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18+.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document changes.
• Promote safety, dignity, and independence.
• Engage residents through conversation and daily activities.
• Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Communicate effectively with families and care leaders.
• In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.
