The role you’ll contribute:

The Care Management Department Coordinator performs a wide range of complex duties and coordinates multiple office procedures to support the operation of the Care Management Department and Department Director.

The value you’ll bring to the team:
  • Assist management in coordinating all administrative reports to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
  • Understand the overall function of the Care Management Department to assist callers or visitors or to route them appropriately.
  • Maintain responsibility for all secretarial support to the department.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitors, prioritizing in accordance with instructions, courteously.
  • Expertise with various computer software, ensuring accuracy in the finished product.
  • Proofread department correspondence, revising and editing as necessary to ensure accuracy prior to distribution.
  • Responsible for delivery and obtaining signatures or declinations of the Medicare Observation Outpatient Notification (MOON) forms from patients, documenting forms in Cerner, and forwarding to appropriate departments.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and ability to multi-task across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Record Terminology.
