The role you’ll contribute:
The Care Management Department Coordinator performs a wide range of complex duties and coordinates multiple office procedures to support the operation of the Care Management Department and Department Director.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Assists management in coordinating all administrative reports to expedite timely processing and accuracy.
· Understanding of the over-all function of the Care Management Department, in order to assist callers or visitors or to route them to the appropriate personnel within the department or facility.
· Maintains responsibility for all secretarial support to the department.
· Screens telephone calls and visitors, prioritizing in accordance with instructions, in a courteous manner.
· Expertise with various computer software, works with accuracy in the finished product.
· Proof reads department correspondence, revising and editing as necessary, to ensure accuracy prior to distribution.
· Responsible for delivery and obtaining of signatures or declinations of the Medicare Observation Outpatient Notification (MOON) forms to patients, daily. Documents forms in Cerner and forwards forms to the appropriate departments
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· Must have comprehensive knowledge and experience in customer service
· Knowledge of Medical Terminology
· Must hold comprehensive knowledge in computer knowledge and people skills to multi-task with multiple departments
· Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology/Medical Record Terminology required.
