Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a detail-oriented medical coordinator to support the National Medical Excellence Program. You will handle inbound calls, verify eligibility, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to coordinate transplant services. Strong communication and data-entry accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a medical assistant, office assistant, or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to communicate with diverse populations.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Flexibility and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Intake of calls from providers or members.
• Use Aetna systems (MedCompass, HRP, ASD, CEC, ATV) to build and enter member information.
• Perform non-medical research including eligibility verification, COB, and benefits verification.
• Maintain documentation to meet risk, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Process referrals and outreach calls; enter data as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical teams, medical directors, claims and contacting staff.
• Communicate with transplant financial coordinators regarding transplant services.
• Initiate authorizations for kidney transplants per unit processes.
• Build shell cases for transplant, cellular therapy, and gene therapy services.
