Qualifications

• Minimum five years medical assisting experience and CPR required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school OR 3–6 months related healthcare/EHR training experience.
• Two to four years of experience in a primary care setting or clinical training environment; knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and filter care gap lists from insurance providers.
• Log into insurance portals to identify care gaps for assigned patients.
• Schedule preventive care appointments as needed.
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and submitted to insurance providers.
• Verify insurance eligibility and update EHR notes.
• Notify patients of outstanding care needs or missing documentation.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on EHR/PM based on quality measures.
• Create training materials, exercises, and manuals.
• Conduct needs assessments and competency assessments for staff.
• Maintain and update electronic training environments.
• Assist in testing new system functionality or upgrades.
• Support super users and end-users with troubleshooting.
• Participate in long-term training planning and train-the-trainer programs.
• Provide clear communication to staff, management, and patients.
