Job summary

Lakeland seeks a dedicated Driver to transport residents to appointments and activities with care and integrity. You will assist with mobility, ensure safety, and maintain clear logs of trips and vehicle conditions.

You will adhere to HIPAA and Mosaic safety standards, performing routine pre/post trip checks and documenting all miles and fuel usage. A clean driving record and reliable team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass Mosaic’s pre-employment background and driving checks.
• Ability to safely operate community vehicles, including vans and buses.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and safe passenger handling.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to complete accurate logs, records, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, activities, and outings.
• Assist residents entering/exiting vehicles, including those with mobility aids.
• Maintain open communication with residents, families, and care partners for safe transportation.
• Follow resident-specific transportation plans, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fueling and readiness.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to leadership.
• Maintain mileage, fuel usage, and service logs for compliance.
