Job summary

Nexion Health, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help sustain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff within a long‑term care facility. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical tasks and support plant repair projects to keep equipment in safe, compliant condition.

The role requires a high school diploma, with vocational training preferred, and at least 1 year of related experience. Shifts run 8am–4:30pm with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training in skilled trade preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of job-related experience in a skilled nursing environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to maintenance and environmental services in a long-term care environment.
• Position may include late hours, weekend work, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Demonstrates competence in mechanical and technical concepts for facility plant repair and maintenance projects.
• Maintains essential mechanical, electrical, and patient care equipment in safe operating condition per regulations and policies.
