Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant to prepare meals, box lunches and snacks in accordance with residents' dietary needs at our 31-bed intermediate care facility in Commack.

You will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, follow state regulations, assist with ordering supplies, and work under the Food Service Supervisor, with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, generous time off and a path for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, box lunches, special diets and snacks.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen per state regulations.
• Receive, store and date all merchandise; follow menus approved by the dietician.
• Cooperate with staff, and assist with orders for food and supplies while following supervisor directions.
