You will contact carriers by phone or online portals, document policy numbers and coverage dates, and update the EHR with verified information to ensure accurate billing. This role follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with a starting pay range of $25–$28 per hour, based on experience, and offers benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience verifying insurance in a medical setting is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding.
• Strong communication with patients and providers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies via phone, portals, or other methods.
• Obtain and document policy numbers, coverage dates, and pre-authorization requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of insurance verifications for each patient.
• Update EHRs and relevant databases with verified information.
