Job summary

Spring View Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Insurance Specialist to verify benefits, obtain pre-certifications, and estimate patient liabilities for outpatient procedures.

The role requires collaboration with physician offices, payer contacts and hospital departments. Pay rate is $16/hour; Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm EST.

If you have a high school diploma, some college, and 1 year of pre-cert/verification experience, you may be a fit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience obtaining and verifying pre-certifications with various insurance companies required.
• Two years of college or medical office specialist education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits, secure pre-certification/referral numbers and estimate patient liabilities for outpatient scheduled procedures.
• Notify physician offices and centralized scheduling if pre-cert is not obtained on time.
• Communicate with insurance payers regarding CPT code discrepancies or changes.
• Perform insurance verification, eligibility and pre-certification for outpatient procedures.
