Job summary

Astrana Health seeks a Director of Accounting to lead the financial reporting and accounting operations for its Care Delivery segment, including clinics, ancillary services, and Foothill Regional Medical Center. You will own the general ledger, close processes, intercompany eliminations, and internal controls, partnering with CFO, FP&A, and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of multi-entity or multi-site operations.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and close processes.
• Healthcare environment experience (owned clinics, ambulatory care, hospital accounting) preferred.
• Proven ownership of SOX 404 internal controls in public company settings.
• Track record leading close improvement initiatives and standardizing processes across entities.
• Strong leadership to develop teams and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Experience owning intercompany and intersegment accounting with eliminations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for Care Delivery segment: GL, COA, close, balance sheet substantiation, period-end reporting.
• Oversee revenue recognition for clinics and ancillary operations per ASC 606.
• Manage intercompany and intersegment accounting and eliminations.
• Oversee hospital accounting for Foothill Regional Medical Center, including AR and allowances.
• Support consolidation with technical accounting and intercompany pricing considerations.
• Lead SOX 404 controls and internal controls improvement.
