Job summary

This role supports the Director of Resident Care in delivering high-quality resident care and staff development across our communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications as required by the state.
• Prefer one (1) year experience providing residential care to the elderly or similar experience with dementia care programs.
• Prefer six months supervisory experience in a health related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure provision of services to residents and compliance with Federal and State policies governing resident care.
• Interview, hire, evaluate, coordinate, motivate, monitor staff performance under the Director of Resident Care.
• Coordinate departmental schedules and maintain adequate staffing according to standards, policies, budgets and state law.
• Oversee continuing education and staff development for caregivers and medication aides.
• Orient new department staff on goals, policies, and procedures.
