Job summary

MultiCare Health System in Spokane Valley is seeking a Care Coordinator Associate to join an interdisciplinary team and support hospital transitions. You will help ensure smooth throughput, patient-centered care, and effective coordination with physicians and clinical staff.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, is comfortable using multiple data platforms, and can navigate scheduling and insurance authorizations.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in health-related field.
• Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a health care setting, preferably as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or in a clinical role such as medical assistant, certified nursing assistant or EMT.
• Experience in utilization management, community resources, and/or financial and quality issues affecting patient care desirable.

Responsibilities

• The Care Coordinator Associate will support an interdisciplinary care team to facilitate hospital transitions.
• Must be adept with technology to use multiple data platforms and troubleshoot as needed.
• Role requires organizational skills and familiarity with scheduling, insurance and authorizations.
