• Maintain caregiver training, certifications, and portal access; chase expirations.
• Schedule client assessments and coordinate with nursing team.
• Check in with support planners weekly.

About The Role

Rising Star Home Care Services is a Maryland Medicaid home care agency serving clients across Cecil, Harford, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Anne Arundel. We are looking for one person to cover both sides of our operation on a three day schedule: the office work that keeps clients staffed, and the field work that keeps care quality high.

Two of your days are in the office scheduling, hiring, and handling what comes in. One day is out in client homes meeting caregivers and confirming the plan of care is being followed. The Director of Operations covers Tuesday and Thursday, so you are not on call on your days off.

This suits someone experienced who wants steady, predictable part time work with real responsibility, not a filler job.

What You Will Do

• Fill open shifts. Match caregivers to clients and find replacements when someone calls out.


• Own the master schedule. Every client, every authorized hour.


• Recruit and onboard caregivers. Screen applicants, run in-office application meetings, and get files complete before anyone starts.


• Visit client homes. Introduce new caregivers, walk the home, confirm care is being delivered as written.


• Correct missed clock-ins and clock-outs in LTSS on the day they are flagged.


• Keep caregiver training, certifications, and portal access current, and chase expirations before they lapse.


• Schedule client assessments and coordinate with our nursing team.


• Check in with support planners weekly.

What we need from you

• Experience in home care, home health, senior care, or another Medicaid-funded service. This is not a role we can train from scratch.


• Comfort with scheduling systems and electronic visit verification. If you have used Maryland LTSS, say so in your application.


• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to drive across the five counties we serve.


• Someone who works independently. On your days you are running the operation, not waiting for direction.


• Clear, warm communication with caregivers, families, and support planners.


• Organized enough to close open items without being chased.


• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred

• CNA or GNA certification. This is considered when setting your starting rate.


• Familiarity with OHCQ standards and Maryland Medicaid CFC or CPAS programs.


• CareerPlug or another applicant tracking system.

What success looks like

• No client goes without a caregiver, and no authorized hour goes uncovered.


• New caregivers start with complete files, and nobody starts before meeting their client in person.


• Missed punches are corrected on the day they are found.


• Caregiver training and certifications never lapse.


• Families feel that someone at the agency knows their situation.
