Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Case Manager extender to work with interdisciplinary staff and external organizations to manage patient care efficiently. Primary duties include insurance verification, obtaining pre-authorization, data entry of patient information, triaging calls, and directing calls to the right staff while ensuring accurate room and bed charges and charge reconciliation.

This role emphasizes strong organization, customer service, and communication skills, with 20 hours per week day

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required).

Responsibilities

• Verify and obtain payer authorization for hospital payments.
• Triage incoming calls and direct to appropriate staff.
• Enter data and coordinate services with UM and care coordination teams.
• Monitor payer accounts and attach dictation/diagnosis to claims.
• Perform charge entry and reconciliation with billing team.
• Provide clerical support and maintain office supplies.
