Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital seeks a Care Management Technician II to initiate and obtain post-acute care authorizations. You will work with case management, hospital care teams, and insurance companies to ensure timely approvals and patient care alignment, leveraging payer knowledge.

The role requires solid computer skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple authorizations while upholding policy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in post-acute insurance authorization or related field.
• Associate degree with one year experience accepted in lieu of two years' experience.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients and hospital staff.

Responsabilités

• Maintains regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations.
• Maintains authorization log and files.
• Collaborates with hospitals, physicians, and community partners.
• Supports post-acute authorization workflows and process improvements.
• Assists with patient assessments and regulatory notices as needed.
