Job summary

Downriver Medical Associates in Michigan seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the Call Center Department. You will support chronic care patients, oversee the medical refill line, assist with onboarding and obtaining patient consent, and coordinate care with PCPs and specialists under the guidance of a Medical Doctor.

You will reconcile medications from multiple providers, communicate with patients and providers, and ensure policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification required.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy tech experience.
• Familiarity with EHR and pharmacy management systems.
• Read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Position Requirements

• Must posess a Pharmecy Tech certification
• Must have at least one year experience in a Pharmacy Tech position
• EPIC experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) at a desk or workstation for extended periods (typically 6–8 hours per shift).
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally move about the office to retrieve files, access office equipment, or communicate with colleagues.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
• May occasionally be required to lift or carry office materials or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Visual acuity to read and interpret documents, computer screens, and written communication.
• Auditory ability to effectively hear and interpret telephone conversations and in-person dialogue.
