Job summary

The Case Management Assistant at UNC Health Care supports the Care Management department by helping organize workflow, track critical information, and connect with community resources. Under the direction of the Director of Case Management, you will assist with daily operations and communications to improve efficiency.

This onsite, full-time role is based in Lenoir MEM and requires a high school diploma and 2–3 years of secretarial or administrative experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of secretarial or administrative assistant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a hospital or related setting preferred.
• Advanced education beyond high school preferred in business or healthcare related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology recommended.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administration of Case Management functions and workflow.
• Coordinate communications and track critical information.
• Serve with departments, patients, families and payers to support care management.
