Description

Pay: $19/hr + Mileage reimbursement

The Care Companion is responsible for engaging members (clients) in service by providing direct care to increase socialization and connect to community and resources in the designated community. This position does not have a designated office space within an LSS property.

As a Care Companion you will:
  • Conduct outreach, friendly visits (telephonic and in-person), light household chores, and personal errands such as grocery shopping and transportation.
  • Document care visits, ensure compliance with program regulations, and manage relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Provide direct client services, including LSS Healthy Transitions and similar services, under supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals and demonstrate compassion, patience, flexibility, and respect.
  • Provide regular in-home/telephonic visits and transportation as needed.
  • Dependable transportation and willingness to transport members in your vehicle.
  • Computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Organizational, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and background checks.
