Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have, at minimum, an 8th grade education.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or areas in the laundry room.
• Wash and dry soiled laundry and run according to established procedures.
• Fold, count, stack, and distribute clean laundry to residents daily or as instructed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment, following sanitation procedures.
