Job summary

Sauk County is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff at the Sauk County Health Care Center in Baraboo, WI. The role supports elderly care as part of the Health Care Center Team, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

The job includes laundry, housekeeping duties, and general facility maintenance. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and being at least 18 years old; experience in long-term care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: Long-term care housekeeping experience.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, and return to residents their clothing daily.
• Label clothing.
• Sweep, dust, mop, and wet dust mop all areas of facility.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Take out garbage and recyclables to outside receptacle.
• Scour toilets, sink, and bathing facilities.
• Wash windows and mirrors.
• Wash walls of facility.
• Water plants.
• Assist in putting supplies away.
• Move furniture.
• And other duties as assigned.
