Senior Lifestyle Corporation's The Sheridan at Oak Brook is seeking a Care Associate for Memory Care to work PRN from 10 PM to 6 AM. This role provides compassionate support to residents in the Memory Care Program, helping with daily living activities and facilitating social engagement.

The position is part-time; duties include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, mealtime support, and basic in-neighborhood housekeeping, with emphasis on safety and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors with dementia preferred.
• English proficiency to communicate with residents and staff.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills with Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to Memory Care residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Assist during meals and with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping in memory care neighborhood.
• Respond to resident/family/employee concerns with timely follow-up and high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with residents, visitors and co-workers.

In this role you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity.

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions, as needed, for Memory Care residents to be as independent as possible in their activities of daily living including but not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one on one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, thus striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
  • Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities is preferred.
  • Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
  • You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
  • You have basic computer skills. Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
  • You are compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
  • You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
